Director General - Ron Berschauer

Ron's involvement with the Festival began when his daughter Krista was the Queen in 1998. He received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University and is the President/General Manager for Jerry's Auto Supply. Ron enjoys teaching and loves to golf, snowmobile and exercise.  He is a very active member of the First Presbyterian Church and The Exchange Club of Wenatchee.  E-mail: rbersch@jerrysautosupply.com
 

Assistant Director General -  Adele (Fischer) Haley
Adele first started her involvement with the Apple Blossom Festival when she served as a 1974 Princess. Since then, she has been active with the Past Royalty Association, Royalty Selection Pageant, Grand Parade and volunteering at the merchandise booth in Memorial Park. Program Director - Daryl Ferguson
 
Daryl has been with the Festival for 15+ years, serving on various committees like Jewelry, Merchandise, Pre-Parade, and the Grand parade, of which he is again the chairman this year! He has been a Festival Board Member for 2 different terms. Daryl is the Vice President and Insurance Broker for Wells Fargo Insurance Services; he is also an active member of the Wenatchee Rotary and the Wenatchee Golf & Country Club.

Applarian Chancellor - Walt Wittgow

Walt has been involved in the Apple Blossom Festival since 1988 when he joined the Wenatchee Applarians.  This year, he will serve as the Vice Chancellor, then as the Chancellor in 2011.  He is a retired Dentist and a member of the Wenatchee Valley Fly Fishers and the Military Officers Association.  Walt will be in charge of the Pageant Reception this year.  He and his wife, Shirley, live in Wenatchee.  E-mail:  waltnebr@nwi.net

Alisa Allen - Prime Seating

Alisa has been involved with the Apple Blossom Festival since 1992.  She has been a Youth Parade Marshal since that time, has helped out with various other events, and is currently on the Auction Committee.  She is also an active member of the Wenatchee Central Lions Club and has served on the Royalty Candidate Top 10 Dinner Committee with Lions as well as the Board of Directors.  She is also on the East Wenatchee Events Board and volunteers for the United Way and Columbia Elementary School.  Alisa has an AA Degree from Wenatchee Valley College and a BS in Accounting from Central Washington University.  She is currently a Financial Advisor for Edward Jones.  In her spare time, Alisa enjoys family time with her husband Bo and their three children, Hockey, and BBQ-ing/entertaining in their back yard.

Jeanne Davis - Float Decorator
Jeanne is the Owner of Apple Blossom Floral in East Wenatchee and is the "official florist" of the Festival.  Jeanne attended Wenatchee Valley College and is a member of the Cashmere Booster Club, Music Theatre of Wenatchee, and Mission Creek Players.  She has been involved with the Festival since 1988 and she and her husband, Troy, joined the Wenatchee Applarians in 1999.  Email:  abfbuds@yahoo.com
 
Debbie Gurnard - Booster Pins

Debbie has been involved with the Apple Blossom Festival for the past 21 years and is serving her second term on the Board.  She has also served on many committees over the years including:  Booster Pins, Youth Parade, Grand Parade and more.  Debbie is also a member of the Wenatchee Central Lions Club and has worked on the Royalty Selection Pageant for many years.  She is also a Board Member for the NCW Foundation for Youth.  She is the General Manager for Eagle Transfer Company, where she has worked for the past 24 years.  Debbie will also serve as the Applarian 1st Lady in 2010 and she and her husband, Don, enjoy being involved with their grandchildren.

Linda Herald

Linda has been involved with the Festival since 1999 when she joined the Wenatchee Applarians.  She has also been the official photographer for the annual Auction since 2006.  Linda is the President of the Wenatchee Central Lions Club and has helped with the Royalty Candidate Top 10 Dinner and been a part of the Pageant Stage Crew for many years.  She is also a member of the Washington Society of Association Executives.  Linda is the Director of Sales for the Coast Wenatchee Center Hotel and Wenatchee Convention Center and enjoys camping, hiking, photography, and reading.  The joys of her life are her husband, David, and three children, John, Jason and Christina, and her four grandchildren.  E-mail:  lindaherald@hotmail.com

Albert Kissler

Albert has been involved with the Festival since 1979.  He was a Float Chairman for 8 years, Director General in 1986 and Applarian Chancellor in 2000-2001.  Albert is the Vice President and Commercial/Agricultural Loan Officer at Wheatland Bank.  He graduated from Eastern Washington University with a B.A. in History/Political Science and received his Masters from University of Washington and Washington State University.  He is also a Past President of both the Wenatchee and East Wenatchee Chambers of Commerce and a member of the Wenatchee Applarians.  E-mail:  albertk@wheatlandbank.com

Julie Kuntz - Executive Committee

 Julie has been involved with the festival for many years beginning with her reign as Apple Blossom Queen in 1974.  She was the first Past Royalty Member to hold the office of Director General in 2006.  Julie has been the chairperson for Booster Pins, 2000 Queen's Ball, Eastmont High School Royalty Advisor, Jr. Royalty Chaperone and served as President of the Past Royalty Association for 7 years. Julie works at Eastmont High School as their Work-Based Learning Instructor. She is also active in her church as a member of the worship team and greeters ministry and is an active member of the Wenatchee Central Lions. Her daughter, Rachel, was a 2003 Top Ten Royalty Candidate.

Delcie (Proffitt) Mott - Booster Pins

Delcie's involvement with the Festival began in 1986 as an Apple Blossom Princess.  She has a BS in Leisure Services/Outdoor Recreation, a BA in Elementary Education, and  MA in Instructional Technology.  Delcie is a member of the Wenatchee Valley Follies Guild since 1998 and the Mission Ridge Ski Patrol for the past 15 years.  She is the Volunteer Services Coordinator at Central Washington Hospital and she and her husband, Jim, live in Wenatchee.

Lori Reed - Auction
Lori is an Insurance Broker with Mitchell, Reed & Associates Inc.  She received her B.A. in Business Administration from Washington State University and is a member of the WSU Alumni Association, Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of WA (IIABW), and is a Past President of the Wenatchee Central Lions Club.  She is also the Vice President of the WSU Risk Management Insurance Advisory Board.  Lori has volunteered for the Festival over the past 11 years working backstage at the Pageant, as a Pageant MC for 2 years, and on the Lions Top 10 Dinner Committee.  Her daughter Lauren was a Top 10 Candidate in 2008.

 Gale Vradenburg - Communications

Gale is a Field Man/Horticulturist with Custom Fruit/Star Ranch Growers.  He earned his B.S. in Horticulture from Washington State University.  Gale is a member of the NCW Knights of Columbus, the Fieldmens Association, and the WA State Horticultural Association. He has spent the last 15 years coordinating our Parade Marshals and for the past 3 years, he has co-chaired the Parade Communications with his son Steven.

Claudia Wiggins
 Claudia became involved in the Festival when her daughter Stacia, was Queen in 1997.  Since then Claudia has volunteered on the Art 4 Kidz Committee, Pie Eating Contest, and helped out in the Booth during the Festival.  Claudia has a BA in Education from the University of Washington and a MA from Central Washington University.  She and her husband, Keith, own Boswell's Furniture, and they have 3 children, 3 grandchildren and one grandchild on the way.

Greg Wood - Float Transportation
Greg is in charge of Business Development and is the School Account Manager for Weinstein Beverage Company, the official Pepsi distributor of the Apple Blossom Festival.  Greg has been a member of the Wenatchee Applarians since 2006 and is currently serving a 3 year term on the Applarian Round Table.  Greg helps deliver Pepsi products to all Festival Volunteers and enjoys every minute of it.  Greg and his wife, Ceci, have three children, Jacob, Jill, and Justine.  They enjoy golfing, camping and coaching Justine's Youth Soccer Team.

Shayne Wrzesinski - Youth Day & Art 4 Kidz
Shayne is a Kindergarten teacher at Washington Elementary School in Wenatchee.  She received her B.A. in Elementary Education, and her Masters in Ed. as a Reading Specialist, both from Central Washington University.  Shayne has volunteered for the Festival the last 4 years as a Youth and Grand Parade Drill Team Judge.  She is also on the Auction Committee and has volunteered with the Art 4 Kidz booth.  In the past, she and the students in her class have participated in the Apple Blossom Run at the start of the parade.  E-mail:  wrzesinski.s@mail.wsd.wednet.edu

Char Allen - Apple Pie & Dessert Bake-Off

Char has been involved with the Festival since her 2 years as a Royalty Chaperone in 2001 & 2002; helping and volunteering at various events and co-chairing the very successful Cookbook fundraiser. Kelly Atwood - Arts & Crafts
Kelly has been involved in the festival for 10+ years serving on the Youth Day, Arts & Crafts, Entertainment & Pageant committees. She & her husband Paul have also performed at Entertainment in the Park through their involvement in the Apple Blossom Musical Productions. Most recently (and most importantly) they both were contestants in the Apple Pie Eating Contest and were very good sports! This is Kelly’s 3rd year serving on the board and she will be chairing the Arts & Crafts committee. She is the payroll manager (as well as a truck & tractor driver) for Atwood Orchards and she also is employed at Material Things specializing in Sales, Design & Fabrication. Kelly is also actively involved in Music Theatre of Wenatchee & Leavenworth Summer Theater.

Kathy Berschauer - Float Design & Construction
 Kathy's involvement in the Festival began in 1998 when her daughter Krista was crowned Queen.  Kathy was then Royalty Chaperone in 2006 and 2007.   Kathy has also served on the Art 4 Kidz and Youth Day Committees, volunteered in the Booth during the Festival and is now in charge of Float Design & Construction.  Kathy has a BA in Communication Disorders & Elementary Education from Washington State University and a Masters in Education from Portland State University.  She is the Accounts Payable Manager for Jerry's Auto Supply.  Kathy, and her husband (Director General) Ron have three children and two grandchildren.

Sally Feil - Apple Pie & Dessert Bake-Off/Visiting Royalty
Sally has been involved in the Festival since 2000, when she served as the Royalty Chaperone for 2000 & 2001 and most recently she has been involved in the cookbook fundraiser, Apple Pie Bake-off and Historian. She and her husband, Dan own Bob Feil Boats & Motors in East Wenatchee and together they participate in East Wenatchee Rotary functions, EAA functions and Spirit of Wenatchee Functions. Kathy Fortner-Lewis - Pageant Reception
 Kathy and her husband Mark have been involved with the Festival since 1989 when the joined the Wenatchee Applarians and Kathy was First Vice Chancellor in 1998-1999. They are the owners of Columbia Pet Service in Wenatchee.

Amy Gensinger - "Rock on the Ave."
Amy started volunteering with the Festival in 2008 on the Pageant Committee.  In 2009, she chaired our Downtown Event which has turned into "Rock on the Ave", an event for 21+ at the Wenatchee Center.  She has also worked on the Youth Parade and Prime Seating Committees.  Amy has a BA in Communications and a Marketing minor from WSU.  She is also a very active member of the Wenatchee Central Lions Club.  Amy is the Premium Seats Coordinator for the Town Toyota Center and enjoys reading, shopping, and traveling and enjoying the summers by boating and being outdoors.  E-mail:  agensinger@towntoyotacenter.com
 
Linda Haglund - Youth Parade & Jr. Royalty Chaperone
Linda has been involved with the Festival for over 12+ years and recently served as the 2009 Director General.  She has also served on many committees including Youth Parade, Grand Parade, Merchandise and Awards & Banners, just to name a few.  Linda is the Director of Sales for the new Town Toyota Center. Jackie Heidlebaugh - 2nd Year Jr. Royalty Chaperone
Jackie has been involved with the Festival since 1999 when she and her husband, Tim, joined the Wenatchee Applarians.  In 2009, Jackie served as the First Lady when Tim was Applarian Chancellor.  Jackie does Color Analysis for the Top 10 Candidates, volunteers in the Festival Office, and is the Secretary/Editor for the Applarian Newsletter, "The Incider".  Jackie has a degree in Business/Sales/Marketing and LOVES spending time with her granddaughter.  This will be Jackie's second year as the Jr. Royalty Chaperone.  Email: timandj54@aol.com

 Pat Lynn - Visiting Royalty
Pat's involvement with the Festival began in 1999 when she served as 1st Year Chaperone and then 2nd Year Chaperone in 2000.  She was also the Junior Royalty Chaperone in 2001 and served 2 years on the Board from 2004 - 2006.   Pat's daughter, Allison Lynn Lewis, was Princess in 1996 and also the Art Print Artist in 2006.  Pat is very actively involved in her church but spends most of her time doing what she loves...being a Grandma.

Pat McDonald - Auction
Pat has volunteered for the Apple Blossom Festival for many years and served as a Royalty Chaperone in 2005 & 2006. Pat is the Vice President of Inside Design Carpet One where she also helps in sales and is a designer. She & her husband Jim are members of the Wenatchee Applarians. They reside in East Wenatchee and have 2 grown children and 1 grandchild. Pat is in charge of the annual Auction to benefit the Royalty program.

 Malcolm McLellan - Legal Consultant
Malcolm has been an Apple Blossom volunteer since 1998, serving as the Festival's Legal Consultant, and serving on the Festival's Board of Directors from 1998 through 2000. Malcolm earned a BA in Economics from the University of Washington and his law degree, cum laude, from Gonzaga University. Malcolm is a member of the Van Ness Feldman law firm in Seattle, Washington; previously, he was a partner with the Davis, Arneil law firm in Wenatchee. Kristi Meadows - 1st Year Jr. Royalty Chaperone
 Kristi became involved with the Festival in 2010 when her daughter, Danielle, was a Jr. Royalty Princess.  Kristi enjoyed the experience so much, she will now be the 1st Year Chaperone for the Jr. Royalty Program.  Kristi and her husband, Mike, have two daughters and live in East Wenatchee.

Kim Meredith - Entertainment
Kim has been involved with the Festival for over 10 years, helping on numerous committees including Youth Day and Art 4 Kidz and she was the Director General for Festival 2004. This year she will be co-chairing Entertainment at Memorial Park. Kim’s daughter, Becca, was a Junior Royalty Princess in 1996. She and her husband, Pete, live in East  Wenatchee and Kim works for Washington Trust Bank.

Jeff Neher - Art Print
Jeff is an owner in Cordell, Neher & Company, PLLC and in CNC Financial Group, LLC, where he is the Managing Principal of both entities. He was the Festival Director General in 2001 and has been involved in the festival for many years beginning first with the Youth Parade, then with the Royalty Selection Pageant and Tabulation (since 1980); this year he is serving as the Art Print Chairperson.  Roger Pollock - Golf Tournament
Roger is retired from the State of Washington Juvenile Rehabilitation where he was the Group Home Administrator for 32 years. He currently is employed as Customer Service/Courtesy at the Wenatchee Safeway. Roger has been involved with the Festival since 1971 when he served as the chairman of the Pre-Parade. He has been a member of the Grand Parade Starting crew and appointed an Official Starter in 1984 until present! Roger has also been a board member several times; and served as the Youth Parade Chairman for 25 years, retiring from that duty in 1999, just in time to serve as the Festival Director General in 2000!  Irene Soth - 1st Year Royalty Chaperone
Irene and her husband, Steve, are the owners and operators of Life's Little Pleasures, Inc.,  Adult Family Home in East Wenatchee.  Irene is a Registered Nurse and is also a member of the Health Occupations Vocational Advisory Board.  Irene has served one term on the Apple Blossom Board and was the Chair of Grand Marshal and Special Guests as well as being the Care & Concern facilitator.  She and Steve have 5 children and have been members of the Wenatchee Applarians for 9 years.  E-mail:  irenestevesoth@hotmail.com
 
Barb Trandum - 1st Year Royalty Chaperone
Barb became involved with the Festival in 1986 when she and her husband, Jerry, joined and became very active members of the Wenatchee Applarians.  Over the 23 years, Barb has served on the Applarian Round Table, Chaired many committees and was the First Lady in 1994-1995 when Jerry was Chancellor.  Barb is enjoying retirement and being a Take Shape for Life Health Coach.  She resides in Wenatchee with Jerry, and they enjoy spending time with their family of two daughters, two sons-in-law, 4 granddaughters, and one grandson.  They also enjoy camping, fishing, gardening, reading, crafts, sewing, and stained glass.  E-mail:  jbtrand@genext.net
 
Curt Ulrich - Pie Eating Contest

Curt's involvement with the Apple Blossom Festival began in 2005 when he co-chaired the 1st annual Costco Apple Pie Eating Contest. This year, he is again co-chairing that event. He earned his B.S. in Business from Central Washington University and is a District Compliance Manager with the Washington State Department of Revenue. Meaghan (Williams) Vibbert - Pageant
 Meaghan began her involvement with the Festival when she was crowned Princess in 1997.  Since then, she has served on the Board of Directors and chaired various committees, as well as Jr. Royalty Chaperone in 2008.  Meaghan is a very active member of the Wenatchee Central Lions Club and is the Public Information Office for the Douglas County PUD.  She and her husband, Todd, live in East Wenatchee and have two daughters.  Email:  mvibbert@dcpud.org

Darci Waterman - Festival Administrator
As Administrator of the Washington State Apple Blossom Festival, Darci is going on her 16th Festival. She earned an AA from Wenatchee Valley College, and a BS in Mass Communications from Eastern Washington University. Darci was raised in the Wenatchee Valley, and the Festival has always played a part in her life. She was the Festival Queen in 1985. In addition to her many festival duties, Darci is also involved in the Wenatchee Central Lions Club. Darci enjoys attending her boys' activities, volunteering in their schools, and working on house projects.  She resides in Wenatchee and has three sons--C.J., Cole, & Ty.

Jennifer Devereaux - Administrative Assistant
Jennifer is the Administrative Assistant at the Festival. She began her involvement with Apple Blossom when she was crowned Queen in 1990. She spent 4 years in the Seattle area attending UW and dancing for the Seattle Sonics before spending a year in DisneyWorld as a singer/dancer. In 1999, Jennifer received her teaching degree from Central Washington University and taught Theatre and English at Wenatchee High School from 2000 - 2007.  She is also a member of the Wenatchee Central Lions Club and the Past Royalty Association.   Her husband, Scott, is a PE Teacher and Head Football Coach at Wenatchee High School. Monica Greedy - Office/Events Assistant
Monica has been involved with the Apple Blossom Festival since 2006 when she was a part of the Auction Committee.  Since then, she has volunteered in many aspects of the Festival and became the Office/Events Assistant in March, 2010.  Monica and her husband, Brian, have two daughters and live in East Wenatchee.

Jodi Lowe - Bookkeeper

Jodi is working part-time as the festival bookkeeper, in addition to her Business Office position at the North Central ESD.  Jodi previously worked for the festival from 1996 – 2007 as an Administrative Assistant and Bookkeeper and she’s so excited to be back working for the festival in this way!  She loves being a part of this amazing organization which celebrates such a wonderful community event!  Jodi, her husband Mark and their 2 daughters, Myah & Macy, live in Cashmere where they also own & operate Bulldog Landscape Service.  Email:  jodi@appleblossom.org
