Junior Royalty Crowned

 

The Washington State Apple Blossom Junior Royalty for Festival 2016 was announced today at their schools. The Junior Royalty Program is sponsored by Dr. Cara Schroeder Children’s Dentistry.

The Junior Royalty are: Queen Macy Fowler who is in Mrs. London's class at Newbery Elementary and is the daughter of Steve and Melissa Fowler. Princess Miranda Nayak is the daughter of Gautam and Bindu Nayak and is in Mrs. Lammert's class at Sunnyslope Elementary. Princess Olivia Harle is the daughter of Brandon and Karissa Harle and is in Mrs. Roche's class at Washington Elementary.

79 essays from Fifth Grade girls in the Wenatchee and Eastmont School Districts were received and a group of 10 finalists were chosen from the essays.  A panel of educators within those districts narrowed the finalists down to the three Junior Royalty members.

Queen Macy Fowler

Queen Macy Fowler who is in Mrs. London’s class at Newbery Elementary and is the daughter of Steve and Melissa Fowler.  Macy has three siblings: Kami (13), Cash (7) and Elise (6 months). Macy participates in dance, and her church. 

When Macy grows up she was to be a professional dancer or a stay at home mom. Macy's favorite tv show is brain games, song: laugh out loud, movie: Hugo, recording artists: Mat Kearney and book Nancy Drew. 

Macy's favorite thing to do in Wenatchee other than Apple Blossom is attend dance, shop at the mall and at Pybus Market. Macy also loves to hang out with family and friends.

Princess Olivia Harle

Princess Olivia Harle is the daughter of Brandon and Karissa Harle and is in Mrs. Roche’s class at Washington Elementary. Olive has one brother Owen. 

Olivia participates in Wenatchee FC Soccer, AAU Basketball and Newsroom an English Enrichment at school. 

Olivia's favorite TV show is Supergirl, song Black Magic, movie Star Wars The Force Awakens, recording artists Taylor Swift and book Wonder by RJ Palacio. 

Olivias favorite thing to do in Wenatchee other than Apple Blossom is play at the parks, ride the loop trail and play soccer.

Princess Miranda Nayak

Princess Miranda Nayak, is the daughter of Gautam and Bindu Nayak , and is in Mrs. Lammert’s class at Sunnyslope Elementary. Miranda has two siblings Naveen (8) and Neal (7).

Miranda participates in strings  where she plays the cello, Math is Cool, soccer, Helpers, Girls Scouts, Choir and loves to paint and draw. When Miranda grows up she either wants to be an architect or an archeologist but can't decide yet because both sound like such fun jobs!

Miranda's favorite TV show is Liv and Maddie,  favorite song is "Shake It Off" favorite movie: Star Wars Return of the Jedi, recording artists: Micheal Jackson and favorite book is Peter and the Starcatchers. 

Miranda's favorite thing to do in Wenatchee other than Apple Blossom is play soccer, go hiking and spend time with her family.

Some of the activities the Junior Royalty will take part in include an etiquette session at Red Robin, attending a service club luncheon, touring Rocky Reach Dam and the Wenatchee Valley Museum with the “Senior” Royalty; riding in the Keyes Fibre Corporation Youth Parade on April 30; helping hand out Art 4 Kidz awards (sponsored by Costco & Washington Federal) at the Pepsi-Cola Youth Day on May 1, and carrying the lead banner in the Stemilt Growers Grand Parade on May 7.
