2017 Junior Royalty Crowned
The Junior Royalty Program is sponsored by Dr. Cara Schroeder Children's Dentistry
77 essays from Fifth Grade girls in the Wenatchee and Eastmont School Districts were received and a group of 10 finalists were chosen from the essays. A panel of educators within those districts narrowed the finalists down to the three Junior Royalty members after a second writing session and judging process.
Queen Annika Erho
Queen Annika Erho is the daughter of Olya Erho and David Erho. She is in Mrs. Langager's class at Valley Academy of Learning and has two siblings: Ivan (9) and Alina (5).
Annika enjoys reading, drawing, building with Legos and painting. Annika is a volunteer in her churches nursery, and is involved in drama, painting classes and piano lessons.
Her favorite TV show is “Star Wars: The Clone Wars”, her favorite recording artist is John Williams, her favorite movie is The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, her favorite song is the theme from “Star Wars”, and her favorite book is The Lord of the Rings.
Annika’s favorite thing to do in the Wenatchee Valley besides Apple Blossom events, is hanging out with her friends and family in local parks.
When Annika grows up she was to be an architect or a Lego designer.
Princess Natalie Severson
Princess Natalie Severson is the daughter of Eric and Sara Severson and is in Mrs. Hatzenbeiler's class at Sterling Middle School. Natalie has two brothers Darius and Isaac (8).
Natalie enjoys ballet, church, playing piano and clarinet, writing, drawing, painting and designing.
Natalie’s favorite TV show is “Cupcake Wars”, her favorite recording artist is Adele, her favorite movie is Coraline, her favorite song is “I Dreamed a Dream”, and her favorite book is Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban.
Natalie’s favorite thing to do in the Wenatchee Valley, besides Apple Blossom Events, is going ice skating.
Natalie wants to be a part-time writer/bakery owner when she grows up.
Princess Carys Williams
Princess Carys (Care-iss) is the daughter of Zach and Amy Williams. She is in Mrs. Marsh's 5th grade class at Sterling Middle School and has two sisters, Reise (8) and Teagan (4).
Carys enjoys reading, karate, knitting, computer coding, playing piano, tennis, skiing, tether ball and writing.
Carys’s favorite TV show is “Wonder Woman”, her favorite recording artist is Beethoven, her favorite movie is Zootopia, her favorite song is “Be Happy” and her favorite book is Heidi.
Carys’s favorite thing to do in the Wenatchee Valley besides Apple Blossom events, riding the Apple Capital Loop Trail.
Carys wants to be an astronaut when she grows up.

Some of the activities the Junior Royalty will take part in include an etiquette session at Red Robin, attending a service club luncheon, touring Rocky Reach Dam and the Wenatchee Valley Museum with the “Senior” Royalty; riding in the Keyes Fibre Corporation Youth Parade on April 29; helping hand out Art 4 Kidz awards (sponsored by Costco & Washington Federal) at the Pepsi-Cola Youth Day on April 30, and carrying the lead banner in the Stemilt Growers Grand Parade on May 6.
