Kelly Atwood - Arts & Crafts Fair
Kelly has been involved with the Festival for over 15 years, serving on the Youth Day, Entertainment, and Pageant committee. She has been chairing the Arts & Crafts Fair for over 10 years. The Atwood Family has been a part of so many facets of the Festival from performing at Entertainment in the Park and on the Pageant stage to competing against each other in the Pie Eating Contest. Kelly is the payroll manager for Atwood Orchards. Kelly is also actively involved with the Wenatchee Schools All-District Musical and is the director of Short Shakespeareans. She and Paul have three children and live in Wenatchee.
Deanna Bollinger - Auction
Deanna is the owner of Nancy's Party Rentals and began volunteering with the Festival in 1992 when she started selling Festival t-shirts to all the local banks for "Festival Fridays". She was the 100th Festival Director General. She has also been a Director for the Pageant, Chairperson for the Auction, and volunteering on the Youth Day, Youth Parade, Grand Parade, Beer Garden, Art 4 Kidz, and Golf Tournament. She is also the "Queen of Logistics" for Memorial Park. She graduated from Central Washington University with a BA in Public Relations. Deanna loves to bring fluff and foof to all our events and always does a great job!!! She has two daughters and lives in East Wenatchee.
Joy Brown - 2nd Year Jr. Royalty Chaperone
For several years Joy has been one of our judges of the junior royalty essays. However, her initial involvement with Apple Blossom was in the 70s when she was in the Top 10 with co-chaperone Kathy Campbell. Joy has served the Wenatchee Valley for the past 30 years through her involvement in political campaigns, church and school committees, and various service organizations, most recently the Follies Guild. She is the quiet worker bee behind the scenes doing organizational work, recruiting and coordinating volunteers, and handling the money. She is currently the Bookkeeper/HR/Payroll Lead for Blewett Brewing Company in Leavenworth (her sons’ business). She is married to Greg Brown and has 3 sons, 2 stepdaughters, and 5 grandchildren (2 more are on the way). Her hobbies include hiking, biking, skiing, and golf.
Sally Feil - Visiting Royalty
Sally has been involved in the Festival since 2000, when she served as the Royalty Chaperone for 2000 & 2001 and was also involved in the cookbook fundraiser. Sally served on the Apple Pie Bake-off committee until it's end in 2018 and still is on the Visiting Royalty Committees. She and her husband, Dan are involved in running Bob Feil Boats & Motors in East Wenatchee and together they participate in East Wenatchee Rotary. She enjoys gardening in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter.
Daryl Ferguson - Grand Parade
Daryl has been with the Festival for over 15 years, most recently serving as Director General of the 2013 Festival. He has also served on various committees like Jewelry, Merchandise, Pre-Parade, and the Grand Parade. He has been a Festival Board Member for 2 different terms. Daryl's daughter, Lauren, was Princess in 2010. He recently retired and is enjoying the good life; he is also an active member of the Wenatchee Rotary and the Wenatchee Golf & Country Club.
Craig Feild - Pageant
Craig was born and raised in Quincy, WA and graduated from WSU with a Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Risk Management & Insurance. He started his work with Apple Blossom as a Parade Marshal in 2005 and has been head Parade Marshal for the last several years. Craig also has been involved in Pageant since 2008 when he was the emcee for 2 years. He has also been the auction chair, past board member and past executive board member for the festival. Craig is a Wenatchee Central Lions Member and loves spending time with his wife Trisha, daughter Jenna and son Micah. When not selling insurance or doing festival activities you might find Craig on the golf course as a member of the Wenatchee Golf & Country Club.
Darren Goehner - Auction
Debbie Gurnard- 1st Year Royalty Chaperone
Debbie was born and raised in Wenatchee. She has been volunteering for ABF for over 30 years. Debbie’s served on many committees, including Youth Parade, Booster Pins, Jewelry, Park Entertainment, Art for Kidz, Arts & Crafts Fair and more. She also volunteers in the ABF office. Debbie has served 4 terms on the ABF board as well as the Executive Board. She is also a member of Wenatchee Central Lions Club and has worked on ABF Pageant. In 2005 her husband Don served as the Washington State Apple Blossom Festival Director General. In 2010 Don was Applarian Chancellor and Debbie was the Applarian First Lady. In 2012 Don and Debbie were honored & presented with the Lehman Johnson Award for their years of volunteering. In 2016 Debbie served as Washington State Apple Blossom Festival Director General. Don & Debbie live in Wenatchee and have been married for 38 years. Debbie retired from Eagle Transfer Company as GM after 32 years. Don is a residential Appraiser for Pacific Appraisal Associates. They have 2 children with spouses, 5 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren. Debbie loves, loves, loves the Apple Blossom Festival and all the folks involved. It is a big part of her life and ABF will always be Simply the Best!!
Linda Haglund - Youth Parade
Linda has been involved with the Festival for over 20 years and served as the 2009 Director General. She has also served on many committees including Grand Parade, Merchandise and Awards & Banners, just to name a few. For the last 8 years Linda has chaired the Youth Parade and is looking forward to her 9th year. Linda is the Executive Director for the Wenatchee Downtown Association and serves on the Museum Board.
Adele Haley - Merchandise
Adele was a 1974 Apple Blossom Princess, an Apple Blossom Board Member from 2004 -2012, and joined our board again for the 2019 Apple Blossom Festival. Adele has not only been a board member for Apple Blossom, she was Director General in 2012, a 2013 & 2014 Chaperone, Chaired: Booster Pins, Prime Parade Seating, the Queens Ball and now merchandise. Adele's service to the Festival does not stop there, she has volunteered for our Annual Auctions, Youth Parade Information Booth, and in our Apple Blossom Office. In her spare time Adele is employed by Confluence Health!
Pat Lynn - Visiting Royalty
Pat's involvement with the Festival began in 1996 when her daughter Allison was Princess. In 1999 she served as 1st Year Chaperone and then 2nd Year Chaperone in 2000. She was also the Junior Royalty Chaperone in 2001 and served 2 years on the Board from 2004 - 2006. In 2017 Pat was named as the Co-Lehman Johnson Award winner. Pat is very actively involved in her church but spends most of her time doing what she loves...being a Grandma.
Malcolm McLellan - Legal Consultant
Malcolm has been an Apple Blossom volunteer since 1998, serving as the Festival's Legal Consultant, and serving on the Festival's Board of Directors from 1998 through 2000. Malcolm earned a BA in Economics from the University of Washington and his law degree, cum laude, from Gonzaga University. Malcolm is a member of the Van Ness Feldman law firm in Seattle, Washington; previously, he was a partner with the Davis, Arneil law firm in Wenatchee. He has considerable experience representing non-profit corporations, and representing clients in the areas of energy, commercial and fisheries law.
Connie Morris - 1st Year Jr. Royalty Chaperone
Connie Morris graduated from Wenatchee High School and Wenatchee Wenatchee Valley College. She has lived in the Wenatchee Valley most of her life. Apple Blossom Festival time is her favorite part of the year! Connie joined the Apple Blossom Festival community in 2011 by helping the Top 10 look their best on pageant night. With her experience in costuming for Wenatchee School District and community theatre, she is able to lend a keen eye to clothing presentation on pageant night. She is excited to expand her role with the festival by serving as a Junior Royalty chaperone.
Connie is past-president of Wenatchee Valley Follies Guild. She has served on the board of CASA and is a docent at the Wenatchee Valley Museum. Connie has spent 36 years in dentistry as an office manager. She is married and has 3 children and 3 grandchildren.
Amy Moubray - Entertainment& Pageant Director
Amy has been volunteering for the Festival since 2008 and was the 2019 Pageant Director and will be again this year for 2020. She is the Entertainment Chairperson and has also worked on the Youth Parade, Grand Parade, Prime Seating committees as well as other Festival week activities. Amy has a BA in Communications and a Marketing minor from WSU. She is also an active member of the Wenatchee Central Lions Club, Eastmont Foundation and the North Central Washington Association of Realtors. Amy is a loan officer at Evergreen Home Loans and in her spare time enjoys spending time with her husband Drew and their four children at their “slice of heaven” in Conconully. Her kids keep her extremely busy with multiple sports and activities and she wouldn’t have it any other way! In fact, her favorite part of Apple Blossom is volunteering alongside her older two daughters for the Youth Parade each year, it’s become a tradition!
Jeff Neher - Art Print
Jeff is an owner in Cordell, Neher & Company, PLLC and in CNC Financial Group, LLC, where he is the Managing Principal of both entities. He was the Festival Director General in 2001 and has been involved in the festival for many years beginning first with the Youth Parade, then with the Royalty Selection Pageant and Tabulation (since 1980). He is currently the Art Print Chairperson. Jeff is also very active in the Wenatchee Central Lions Club.
Richard Seale - Applarian Chancellor
Born and raised in Texas, Richard met Jacki, the love of his life, when both were living in California. Jacki is a native of the Wenatchee valley, so it was that in 1993 they made their home here. Looking to become more involved with our beautiful community, they joined the Wenatchee Applarians in 2007. They discovered that the Applarians support a culture of participation and volunteerism in the same vein as the Festival they support and promote. The Applarians have become a constant in Richard’s life.
In 2017, Richard retired from King County. As a couple, Richard and Jacki stepped up their involvement as volunteers for the Apple Blossom Festival. “It is unique and singular to our valley; when winter gives way to spring and the school bands can be heard practicing in the mornings, something special is about to happen”.
When he can, Richard enjoys writing, golf and fishing.
Allison Womak - 2nd Year Royalty Chaperone
Allison was raised in Cashmere and graduated from W.S.U. with a bachelor of science in Nursing.
She and her husband, Ed, met at W.S.U. and married while he finished his degree in Veterinary Medicine. She is thankful for such a wonderful and supportive husband!
Allison's other pride and joy are her two children, Jake and Kiley and, of course, lots of pets.
She is celebrating her recent retirement as an operating room nurse for 32 years. Now she has more time to give back to the community she loves by chaperoning the royalty.
Ed and Allison are members of the Wenatchee Applarians, and they served as Applarian Chancellor and First Lady in 2015.
Allison enjoys recreating in our beautiful valley when hiking, skiing, motorcycle riding, and kokanee fishing on Lake Chelan!
She has enjoyed the years of family fun at the Washington State Apple Blossom Festival and is so excited for the 100th celebration.
