Welcome riders! Wenatchee Valley Velo Club extends a huge welcome to the 2022 Tour de Bloom Stage Race! The Tour de Bloom Stage Race is a three-day, four race cycling event being held May 6-8, 2022 in the Wenatchee Valley. Organized by the Wenatchee Valley Velo Club, and sponsored by Wenatchee Valley Brewing, Tour de Bloom features a Waterville road race on Friday, a Time Trial on the Malaga/Alcoa highway Saturday morning and the Tour de Bloom Twilight Criterium in historic downtown Wenatchee on Saturday afternoon and evening, with the final and deciding stage in Plain on the scenic roads of Chiwawa Loop and North Shore drive, ending atop Beaver Hill on Sunday. The event is sanctioned by USA Cycling and serves as a major fund raiser for Wenatchee Valley Velo which has provided 5000 bicycle helmets free of charge to Children in the greater Wenatchee valley through the Lids on kid’s program over the past years. Tour De Bloom is held during the final weekend of Wenatchee’s famous Apple Blossom Festival.”
Your participation benefits our kids’ riding safety program, Lidz on Kidz, putting 750 bike helmets on children, and benefits adding signage for a bike route from Leavenworth to Wenatchee.
The 2022 edition of the Tour de Bloom includes the Builders First Source Waterville Road Race, a Merckx-style Time Trial, the Rookard Pools Downtown Criterium, and the Arlberg Sports Plain Road Race with its hilltop finish.
